My name is Stéphane Fréchette. I’m a Database & Business Intelligence Professional and also Founder/Owner of ukübu. I have a passion for architecting, designing and building solutions that matter.
I have been in the IT industry for over 17 years, specializing in SQL Server, the Microsoft BI Stack and Data Visualization. I also work with several other database platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL…) as well as several application development platforms (Microsoft .NET, LAMP, MAMP, Open Source).
Self proclaimed Open Data Hacker/Advocate I founded Gatineau Ouverte a citizen led initiative which aims to promote open access to civic data of the city of Gatineau.
I’m also quite passionate about reading, music and drumming. You can always count me in for some good food and fine wine.
Born in Montréal, I currently live in Gatineau, Québec (Canada).
